More about the team
Chris has a diploma in Social Service Work from George Brown College and is a former an Evening Program Coordinator and Housing Support Worker in a local Hamilton Christian-based social work agency, and is currently a custodian at a local Christian university and supply educational assistant. Chris is a former Toronto native, growing up in the borough of East York. He has a wealth of experience working with impoverished and vulnerable people as well as leading and supporting various youth and community outreach ministries from his home church Calvary Church Toronto. Pop Culture is a passion of Chris', some of his favourite comics and movies being Batman, IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. Chris is also passionate about his Christian Faith, and his go-to pastors include Matt Chandler, Francis Chan, those at his local church, and friends Dave Lombardo and Steve Lambert.
Steve Lambert is a long time friend of Chris, married to an awesome wife named Becky, huge comic book fan (particularly Spider-Man) and teaching pastor of Forward Baptist Church in Toronto. Steve has grown up in a number of different evangelical denominations and brings a great biblical perspective to any topic. He has a wealth of experience in pastoral ministry, including a seven-year stint as the Forward Baptist youth pastor and in his second year in his role as the teaching pastor. Steve's desire in ministry is to see Christians grow to be more Christ-like. His goal is to help believers connect their faith to their everyday lives and learn what it means to really have a relationship with God, and he seeks to help the body of Christ recognize the important roles they hold as members of the body of Christ and as ambassadors of Christ to the unsaved around them. Steve has graciously given us permission to share his posts from the Forward Baptist blog, will contribute other posts when he can, and will be a continued guest on One Cross Radio.
Sam Norman is Chris' cousin who hails from the beautiful town of Bath in jolly ol England. The son of a Rector (St Saviours, Bath), Sam has been a lifelong churchgoer and has served on missions trips and in worship ministry at his seminary. Sam is currently attending seminary at Moorlands College in the UK, is interested in local and global politics, and passionate about spreading the gospel. Sam is a frequent guest of One Cross Radio, and will also be contributing posts and content here.
